Let me tell you why this hit is suspendable.
1) It was a blindside hit.
2) It was clearly a headshot.
3) Torres has intent to injure because he is targeting the head.
4) Torres left his feet.
5) Hossa is severely(hopefully I’m wrong) injured on this play.
6) Torres is a repeat offender.
If Shanahan doesn’t respond to this hit with appropriate punishment I think it’s safe to say that the NHL fans, analysts, players, and coaches will riot. Regardless of team affiliation.
